FOOD COLLECTION IN THE COMMUNITY
November 1st- November 30th
Each year the residents of Brecksville-Broadview Heights provide food for our area's needy families by participating in the Annual Yuletide Hunger Drive sponsored by the cities of Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Independence and Seven Hills. Each school has their own designated list of items to donate. There will be boxes in the foyer of every school in the district for students to place their donations.
Thank you to all of our wonderful Central Families again for an amazing fundraiser. We have tallied all of the orders and contributions and have an incredible year. Our fundraising amount was $17,380! That is $2,740 more than last year. This is just terrific news! We appreciate all of the efforts from all of the students and families to make this year awesome!

Join the BBHSF by celebrating #GivingTuesday!
This year, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation is joining the #GivingTuesday movement. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
BBHSF has a goal of raising $8,000 for this campaign. Every dollar donated to the BBHSF between now and #GivingTuesday (November 27th 2018) will go towards classroom enrichment grants in our school district. Please visit the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation Facebook page, share the #GivingTuesday post, and encourage your friends and neighbors to help the BBHSF "support a legacy of fine education"! www.bbhsf.org
Bee Buck Store
Students are earning Bee Bucks for being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn in all areas of the school. Students are excited to cash in at our Central School Bee Buck Store throughout the year. Thank you for the generous donations that have helped to fill the store with kid friendly toys and treats. If you still wish to make a donation, such as gift cards, treats, small toys, or a cash donation, please send it to school marked for “BEE BUCK STORE”. Thanks so much for helping us to make this a successful program.
Bad Weather - in case of bad weather, it is important to know what to do in case school has a delayed opening. Here are the procedures specific to Central School:
The police officers of Brecksville and Broadview Heights always appreciate help from the community and a good tool to use is the Safe School Helpline. If you hear anything that threatens our safety,
please call, text or email the Safe School Helpline. The Helpline
phone number is 1-800-418-6423 ext.359 or Text: 66746; then type TIPS. It's free and confidential 24 hours/7days a week. For more info, see the website www.safeschoolhelpline.com
Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District does have a "Going Green" policy. This policy was established by the District in the 2007-2008 school year. As a PSO, we follow all District policies.
The PSO Council sends out a weekly email notifying parents about what's happening in the district. Also, each individual PSO Unit will from time to time communicate with you through emails using Constant Contact.
In compliance with this policy, no flyers will be sent home with students (exceptions: fundraising flyers).
