Central Fundraiser - September 6 - 24, 2018
We will be KICKING OFF our annual Fundraising Drive for our school on September 6 and hope that you will give us your support to make it an overwhelming success. Our school will make up to 50% profit on every item that we sell, and the students have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes. We hope that you can help get the word out and promote our sale by using social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Money earned through this fundraiser is used to directly benefit the students in our building. With your support, we will be able to provide many fun and educational activities throughout the year.
Children will get the opportunity to earn prize levels for the following:
Book Club Needs Your Help!
If you are interested in sharing your passion for reading with our students, then please consider chairing our Book Club. The Book Club is designed to generate more excitement about reading. There are typically 3 book club meetings per year (January, February and March) with a different book read for each of those three months. There is a wrap-up party at the last meeting, sometimes designed around the theme of the last book. The chair of this club chooses the three books, organizes the corresponding 3 meetings, leads the discussion during the meetings, and handles the communication with the families. If you are interested, please contact Khara Mack for additional details.
Bad Weather - in case of bad weather, it is important to know what to do in case school has a delayed opening. Here are the procedures specific to Central School:
The police officers of Brecksville and Broadview Heights always appreciate help from the community and a good tool to use is the Safe School Helpline. If you hear anything that threatens our safety,
please call, text or email the Safe School Helpline. The Helpline
phone number is 1-800-418-6423 ext.359 or Text: 66746; then type TIPS. It's free and confidential 24 hours/7days a week. For more info, see the website www.safeschoolhelpline.com
Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District does have a "Going Green" policy. This policy was established by the District in the 2007-2008 school year. As a PSO, we follow all District policies.
The PSO Council sends out a weekly email notifying parents about what's happening in the district. Also, each individual PSO Unit will from time to time communicate with you through emails using Constant Contact.
In compliance with this policy, no flyers will be sent home with students (exceptions: fundraising flyers).
